Human Dimensions of
Rangeland Management
Since 2019, I've been studying issues related to rangeland management in Montana's Northern Great Plains. My area of study primarily comprises four counties in Central and North Central Montana: Philips, Petroleum, Fergus, and Blaine.

Cooperation
I'm especially interested in why groups and individuals with competing interests might choose to cooperate in ecological restoration of these grasslands. I focus on understanding how multistakeholder organizations form, make decisions, and work together to shape the landscape.

Rangeland Science
My research explores different types of rangeland knowledge underpinning collaborative conservation. I study how knowledge is often contested between different actors. I also examine how individuals share ecological knowledge and how this sharing shapes collaborative conservation efforts.
